Sexi Soprano YAFeature presents Emily Geller, Mezzo

Praised as "delightfully over the top" and "most enjoyable to watch and listen to", Emily Geller is a young up-and-coming mezzo-soprano hailing from Long Island, NY. This summer she returned to Opera North to perform Ma Moss in Copland's The Tender Land conducted by Michael Sakir. In April 2015, Ms. Geller performed with the Natchez Festival of Music in Mississippi singing Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly and Kate in The Pirates of Penzance. Last summer at Opera North she covered Flora Bervoix in Verdi’s La traviata and performed Mrs. Emma Jones in Street Scene, both directed by Marc Astafan. Upcoming engagements include the First Maid in Strauss's Elektra with New York Opera Forum
